Verse 1: What happened to “Stick's & Stones could really break my bones, but words don't weigh a dime, so they won't hurt me.”? Cause now here comes the word police. “Wrong opinions are hate speech!” Meanwhile, I am far off from the beach: Chorus: I’m just a straw in the ocean. There’s water all around. It goes in one end, out the other. No harm has it done. And I don’t need a goddamn safespace cause these waves can’t make me blue. I’m just a straw in the ocean, & that you should be too. Verse 2: Logic, Reason, Discourse. They all go down the drain when you pull the plug on every tub in the US fucking A. What happened to discussions that live respectfully? We all tread through the waters of opinionated sea. Chorus: I’m just a straw in the ocean. There’s water all around. It goes in one end, out the other. No harm has it done. And I don’t need a goddamn safespace cause these waves can’t make me blue. I’m just a straw in the ocean, & that you should be too. Just a straw in the ocean, & that you should be too.

Tough Luck 01:40
I’m getting carpal tunnel syndrome from just playing my guitar too much oh well, oh well, that’s my problem, but I can’t help channel all my thoughts and politics into the songs I make. oh well, oh well, that’s my problem coz I don’t wanna be a buzzkill, and I don’t wanna seem complacent with the condescending pricks that try to take hold of the words you say; tough luck, coz the first ammendment still prevails today. I’m getting fed up with the people saying “put a filter on the things you say”. Goddamn, what a slippery-slope that leads to coz if any hold the narrative on what words can and can’t be said, we ipso facto lose our right to live. Yea, I don’t wanna be a buzzkill, and I don’t wanna seem complacent with the condescending pricks that try to take hold of the words you say; tough luck, coz the first ammendment still prevails today.

Stop throwing rocks and spraying bear mace. We're only here to speak our minds. This country's a platform, and we've all the right to share this space no matter what you think of what we say. The streets should not be filled with smoke and blood, but with vehicles of thought and of pedestrians of value. So, drop the knife and drop the loaded gun; We could work to solve our problems, but this tension simply isn't any fun. No one should need a respirator to talk politics. No one should feel at home to zip their lip and hide away. We are the generation of our liberties. And we're not going anywhere anyways. The streets should not be filled with smoke and blood, but with vehicles of thought and of pedestrians of value. So, drop the knife and drop the loaded gun; We could work to solve our problems if you drop the guns and have a little fun.

Verse 1: Don't let the sun go down another inch today. Catch why with summer eye; a heart is out to play. Here is that sunset orange to take your breath away. Don't let the feeling die today. Chorus: Can't tell the sun to freeze our time. Can't tell the stars to find another place to shine. This effort's not a chance, but we might as well try. Don't let the sun go down tonight. Verse 2: Don't let the sun go out; The world would be too cold. Catch why with winter mind; The heat would never hold. Long for that sunset orange; A thought from ages old. Don't let your happiness be sold. Chorus: Can't tell the sun to freeze our time. Can't tell the stars to find another place to shine. This effort's not a chance, but we might as well try. Don't let the sun go out tonight. [Instrumental Bridge] This effort's not a chance, but we might as well try. Don't let the sun go down tonight. Don't let my spirits die tonight.
